The Coveted Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice

I’m an avid watcher of the YouTubes but generally have (some, ish) self control when it comes to raved about items. I don’t need more makeup. I mean, this is usually what I tell myself as I buy more makeup but still. The highlighting craze is still in full force and as a lover of Sleek Makeup (and grieving the lack of shipping to the States these days) I had to hunt this one down.

It’s a stunning palette that would suit a wide range of skin tones. I’m at the lower end of fair—like Snow White meets actual snow pale—and this still works well for me. The highlights are bright but I don’t find them chunky or glittery on the cheeks.

Subsolar is a lovely light yellow but borders on white on the skin, and is, of course, my go to shade but Hemisphere works wonderfully with a light hand. Too much and I’ve got a landing strip of lavender on my cheeks. Equinox is a stunning pure peach and works on me layered lightly over bronzer but on a deeper skin tone this would be absolutely perfect. Ecliptic, the one cream shade, is a nice neutral champagne but too dark on me to work. I’ve used it as eyeshadow primer and it works OK if a little slippery. It’s nice for an editorial style wet eye look. Again, on deeper skin tones this would be lovely and all of the shades can be layered over it for an out of this world glow.

Here are the swatches!

Because Sleek currently isn’t shipping these to the US, I found mine on Amazon*. The prices are a little higher than theirs, but the quality is worth it. You can always keep an eye out for prices drops.
